Crowshall Veterinary Laboratory
Crowshall Veterinary Services' laboratory is managed by Kathy Blake. Kathy has many years experience in the laboratory field and in particular in poultry diagnostics. Kathy is supported by an experienced laboratory team to ensure optimal support to the vet team and ultimately service to our clients.
Crowshall Veterinary Services' laboratory offers an extensive range of diagnostic facilities ranging from serology, parasitology, and microbiology to Salmonella testing. The laboratory is DEFRA Approved for Mycoplasma testing (Mycoplasma gallisepticum and Mycoplasma meleagridis) using the rapid serum agglutination testing under the Poultry Health Scheme. This also extends to Salmonella testing using Rappaport and Selenite methods required for the Poultry Health Scheme.
Crowshall Veterinary Laboratory is also accredited by the United Kingdom Accreditation Service (UKAS) ISO17025 for Salmonella testing using the Selenite, Rappaport and Modified semi-solid Rappaport Vassiliadis (MSRV) methods.
