COVID-19 Please be assured that the practice is still fully operational. We have temporarily changed our services to help our clients by opening from Monday to Friday 8am to 6pm daily and weekends 8.30am to 12pm. Please note this is a this is a short term arrangement to minimise staff in the building and ensure robustness in relation to Covid. We have increased logistical capacity to help with delivery and collections at this difficult time. Please note, PMs need to be at the practice by 5.30pm to ensure they are performed the same day.

Crowshall Update - April 2020

30th April 2020

During these uncertain times Crowshall Veterinary Services is still operating at full capacity. We have, as many of you been made aware, implemented a shift system – therefore we are open from 6am to 1pm, and 2pm and 9pm Monday to Friday, as well as being open from 8.30am to 12.30pm on Saturdays and Sundays.

Please note that on the forthcoming bank holidays in May that the practice will be open between 8.30am and 1pm and the duty vet will be available outside these times. Please be aware of our opening times in respect of dropping off samples and collecting items.

We are also operating a more extensive dedicated pick up and drop off service for clients who need extra support with delivering samples and receiving vital veterinary medicines during the current restrictions.

At the present time there are no significant or expected issues with the supply of veterinary medicines and our laboratory is managing well with current throughput and there are no reporting delays.

One area that is causing some possible forthcoming issues is the reduction is services by Royal Mail. From 2 May 2020, Royal Mail will be temporarily, no longer delivering letters on a Saturday. Monday to Friday will continue as normal.

We would ask that anything that you send to Crowshall Veterinary Services which is time critical such in the case of Salmonella samples is sent “Special Delivery next day”, and posted on Mondays to Thursdays , to ensure arrival at Crowshall before the weekends. If samples are posted on Friday they may not be received by the practice until the following week which may mean the samples are not compliant with NCP, CSPO or Poultry health scheme, Lion Code testing requirements which may result in resampling being required.

Please note that we do offer a notifications service for sample receipt where an automated email will alert you to receipt of your samples. If you would like this service please let us know and we can add your email address to the service.

Please stay safe during these difficult times and do not hesitate to contact us if you require further support.
