Salmonella Testing
Crowshall Veterinary Services LLP has a well established Salmonella laboratory which is both UKAS and Defra accredited. We currently process in excess of 10000 salmonella samples annually for the broiler industry, free range layer sector, cage layer sector, turkey industry, breeding companies, hatcheries, packing stations and gamebird sectors. It is vitally important that statutory salmonella testing is conducted in accordance with the guidelines outlined by the appropriate governing body (eg DEFRA or Lion code).

We recommend that samples are either delivered by hand or sent by Royal Mail recorded delivery packaged in accordance with Royal Mail requirements.
Routine salmonella testing can take between 3 and 6 days from receipt of the sample after which time a salmonella certificate will be issued by post or email.
